Peter Koevari has a gift for creating dread and wonder in equal measure, and Lucky Devil proves it.
Technically speaking, this is one of the strongest horror shorts I've seen all year.
An epic watch! Loved it! Loved the layers, the depth it went into, the lore. What a fun watch!
Mysterious, psychological, different. I’m sure it was a big undertaking and a labour of love. It shows… Interesting characters, good direction and nice cinematography.
Director's statement
Lucky Devil has been a love letter to the films I grew up with in the 80's and real, creepy horror that kept me up at night. I've paid homage to horror films that shaped me as a storyteller such as Nightmare on Elm Street, The Shining, and new retro TV shows like Stranger Things, but bringing an original story with something new to say.
We set on this journey to make something that is new, but feels nostalgically familiar, and with a solid cast and crew, we have done it. I hope you enjoy the film.
